Sarah Spalding Elton
Sarah is a writer and creative thinker, born and raised in Panama in a multicultural family. Her perspective has been shaped by a life lived between Panama, Costa Rica, and Europe, and by a long-standing interest in psychology, wellbeing, and storytelling as tools for connection. Grounded in both intellectual curiosity and embodied practice, her work reflects a deep attentiveness to how children develop empathy, imagination, and a sense of belonging in an increasingly interconnected world.

Oli the Owl grew out of Sarah’s belief that stories can be a gentle and powerful force for peace when they reach children early. As a mother and global citizen, she writes with tenderness and intention, creating stories that invite young readers to approach difference with curiosity rather than fear. Through Oli’s adventures, Sarah hopes to nurture openness, kindness, and a quiet confidence in our shared humanity — planting seeds for a more compassionate and connected future.
